About us
Viticulture and winemaking have been passed down in the Pungračič family for five generations. Throughout all these years, we have lived on an idyllic hill in eastern Haloze, where we cultivate one of the best wine-growing areas. Our vineyards cover more than 14 ha of areas planted with Rhenish Riesling, Laško Riesling, Cahardonany, Sauvignon, Šipon, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rizvan, Yellow Muscat, and Muscat Otonnel. As can be seen from the assortment, we produce only white wines in which we want to capture the rich flavors of the grapes that ripen on our vines. The farm is located on the state border between the Republic of Slovenia and Croatia, so our vineyards are also divided on both sides of the border.
The catering facilities of our tourist farm enable us to serve up to 60 guests, who can be offered complete accommodation and leisure activities. Guests can also join us during certain parts of the farm (harvesting, harvesting). Our specialties are mainly linked to the Haloka environment (various hot dishes, Haloka gibanica, meat from tünka, cured meat products...). All the food we offer is grown on the farm.
Žurmanov breg is an ideal starting point for a trip (on foot or by car). Two hundred meters from the farm is the birthplace of actor Maks Furjan, and there are as many as six churches scattered within a distance of one to four kilometers. In addition to the churches, it is also worth mentioning the Zavrč manor, the manor of the same name in nearby Dornavi, which is considered one of the most beautiful late baroque secular buildings in Slovenia and the most beautiful plain manor in Styria, and the Borl castle. The Ptuj spa is 22 kilometers from Zavrč.
Equipment: bar, restaurant, own parking, kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, safe, first aid, wine cellar, picnic area, barbecue in the garden.

WINE QUEEN
In 2018, the 22nd noble title of Slovenian Wine Queen went to our Katarina Pungračič. Katarina completed her studies in agriculture at the Faculty of Agriculture and Biosystem Sciences in Maribor. She has been in close contact with agriculture and working in the vineyard since she was a child, and has also completed a course to become an amateur sommelier. Upon receiving the flattering title, she shared the following family guideline for TV Slovenia: "I am ready to give one hundred percent and even more of myself. As my father likes to say, if you can't do everything in one day, get up an hour earlier."
Meet the wine queenHISTORY
Knowledge and devotion to Haloska land has been handed down on our farm for five generations. Our story began with Ana and Anton, who took a small property on top of the hill as a wedding gift. They were the owners of a small vineyard, their annual harvest yielded a good 5 half liters of wine. For that time, this was a lot, because they produced so much that they could also sell wine, and they also sold some livestock. Thus, they successfully started a story that we are trying to preserve even today. Their son Jože wanted to continue their story, who chose Marija from the neighboring hill as his wife. Their first son, Anton, was soon born, but instead of living together as a family, the war engulfed our region. In a way, Jože made sacrifices for his family and joined the army in 1940 so that they could live together when he returned. But after Jože's return, he was again forced to choose the safety of his family, he never got the chance to live with his family. Marija, like most women at that time, went to work in Maribor with a belly for bread. She left Anton with her parents. Something always drew Anton back home, so he loved to return to his native home. Upon his return from the army in 1963, he decided to take over the reins of the farm. He took the young Terezia as his wife, who had a great desire to open tourism on the farm and thus the possibility of new income for the farm. Thus, in 1984, our farm officially opened its doors to visitors for the first time.
We are a family farm, which means that the majority of the work is distributed among our family. On the property itself, you will come across the head of the family of Roberta Pungračič, who brought his wife Martina with him from the Ptuj plain. Their two daughters, Tamara and Katarina, diligently help them in their work, each in their own field. Grandma and grandpa live next to them, and they still faithfully help with the tasks in the vineyard. Grandparents from the Ptuj plain also come to help.

Wine offer
Viticulture and winemaking is the most widespread agricultural and economic branch of Eastern Haloz. Our farm occupies the easternmost hill of the Haloški hills. This hill has been our family's home for five generations. Throughout all these years, we have lived on an idyllic hill in eastern Haloze, where we cultivate one of the best wine-growing areas. Our vineyards cover more than 14 hectares planted with Rhenish Riesling, Laško Riesling, Cahardonnay, Sauvignon, Šipon, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rizvan, Yellow Muscat and Muscat Ottonnel. As can be seen from the assortment, we only produce white wines, in which we want to capture the rich flavors of the grapes that ripen on our vines.
However, because wine does not like to be alone, 35 years ago we also opened the doors of our house for the first time to everyone who enjoy authentic Haloka cuisine. Our tourism thus offers space for large and small closed groups, there are also some modern rooms with a wonderful view of the vineyards. In our kitchen, we try to capture all those authentic Haloka flavors and serve them to our guests' table with all the homeliness. We are aware of the importance of the local community and therefore strive to ensure that all raw materials used in ours come from the local domestic environment. In order to offer only the best to our guests, we also have our own meat preparation. Thus, there are always a few pigs and cattle in our barn, which graze freely on the eastern side of the hill under the vineyards during the year.
